Our Story

About Us

Cappuccino vs Latte is an independent resource built to answer one deceptively simple question well: what is the difference between your coffee drinks?

Why we exist

Coffee menus have quietly become overwhelming. Cappuccino, latte, flat white, cortado, macchiato, mocha, americano — the names sound familiar, but few people can say exactly how they differ. We started Cappuccino vs Latte to fix that with clear, side-by-side answers that a curious drinker can actually use at the counter.

How we research

Every comparison is built on the same, consistent framework so the numbers mean the same thing from page to page: espresso shots, steamed-milk ratio, foam ratio, caffeine, calories, serving size, taste and texture. Caffeine and calorie figures are typical values for a standard whole-milk preparation and can vary by café, cup size and the number of shots used.

  • We compare drinks on a fixed set of measurable dimensions, not vibes.
  • We separate caffeine (driven by espresso shots) from perceived strength (driven by milk volume).
  • We note when a figure is an approximation or varies by preparation.

Editorial independence

Our comparisons are not influenced by brands or cafés. When we add affiliate links to equipment or ingredients in the future, they will be clearly disclosed and will never change our verdicts. See our editorial guidelines for the full standards we hold ourselves to.
